Chennai Power Cut: There will be a scheduled power outage in several parts of Chennai on Thursday, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, as maintenance work is carried out. While the power supply is expected to be restored by 2:00 pm, officials have indicated that it may be resumed earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.

These areas may experience intermittent or prolonged power cuts. Authorities have advised the residents to stay updated on the situation, as local authorities and electricity providers continue to work on resolving the issue.

Chennai Weather

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning in Chennai on Tuesday. Several parts of the southern city and nearby areas have been witnessing incessant showers over the past few days.

Meanwhile, the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has informed of heavy rain at isolated places across nine districts in the state, including Chengalpattu, Villuppuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram on November 8 and 9.  It is predicted that Puducherry and Karaikal may also receive heavy rainfall during this period.
