Chennai Power Cut Sept 18: Chennai residents in several localities are set to experience a temporary power outage on Thursday as the electricity department carries out essential maintenance work. Officials have assured that supply will be restored before 2 PM, depending on the completion of the works.

Chennai Power Cut Affected Areas

- In Korattur, areas affected include Annai Nagar, TVS Nagar, TNHB, Padi, MTH Road, Park Road, Dhathankuppam, Senthil Nagar, Teachers Colony, Lakshmipuram, Puthagaram, and Vivekanantha Nagar. Ramapuram residents of Giri Nagar, Kurinji Nagar, Anandam Nagar, Ambal Nagar, Kambar Salai, and Tamil Nagar will also face temporary power cuts.

- In Poonamallee, the By-pass area, Golden Homes Flats, and the MTC Depot will be affected. Meanwhile, in Perambur, Padmavathi Nagar, Thirumal Nagar, Surapet Main Road, Vijayalakshmi Nagar, Purushothaman Nagar, Venkatasai Nagar, KVR Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Moorthi Nagar, Kathitha Thozhulali Nagar, Kanci Nagar, Parimalam Nagar, TH Road, and Muthumariammna Koil Street will experience the suspension.

Officials have requested residents and businesses to plan accordingly and avoid using heavy electrical appliances during the downtime.
