Several parts of Chennai will experience power outages on Tuesday, January 28, as the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) will conduct maintenance work. The affected areas will face a five-hour power cut, which may end earlier if maintenance is completed ahead of the schedule.

Several neighbourhoods, including parts of Tirumullaivoyal, Ramapuram, Adyar, Kundrathur, Tirumudivakkam, and Perungalathur, are set to be impacted. Below is a detailed list of the areas that will experience power cuts:

  • Tirumullaivoyal: Senthil Nagar, Kovilpathagai, Vaishnavi Nagar, Nagammai Nagar, HVF Road, Avadi Market and nearby locations.

  • Ramapuram: IPS Colony, Manapakkam, Mugalivakkam, Kolapakkam, Venkateswara Nagar.

  • Adyar: Canal Bank Road, Gandhi Nagar (various streets and crescents), Teachers Colony, Justice Ramasamy Avenue.

  • Kundrathur: Babu Garden, Thiruchendurpuram, Bazar Street, Naallu Road Kundrathur and surrounding areas.

  • Tirumudivakkam: SIDCO streets, Velayuthum Nagar, Meenakshi Nagar, Indira Nagar, and nearby areas.

  • Perungalathur: Poomalai, Mappedu, Kalaignarnagar, Ruby Villa, Sri Sai Avenue and adjacent streets.

Power Cuts In Tamil Nadu Capital On January 27

Meanwhile, on Monday, January 27, parts of Chennai, including the entire areas of Valasaravakkam, Virugambakkam and Alwarthirunagar, will face power cuts between 9 am and 2 pm. Residents are advised to plan accordingly and ensure minimal disruption to their daily activities.
