Chennai Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday stated that Chennai will receive light rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that along with the rainfall, the residents of the capital city of Tamil Nadu will also witness cloudy skies and gentle breezes. The coastal regions of Tamil Nadu are set to receive moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to the inconveniences. The weather department has directed the district administration to take necessary steps and has also advised the residents to follow the guidelines to avoid any inconveniences.
Chennai Weather Forecast Till November 22:
November 19: The residents will witness light rain, along with the gentle breeze.
November 20: The IMD clarified that the city is not likely to witness any rain on Thursday.
November 21: Along with cloudy skies, the residents are also likely to receive light rain, especially in the evening hours.

November 22: The capital city is likely to witness moderate rainfall, leading to waterlogging in multiple key regions.
The weather department has also stated that while the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 25 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 23 degrees Celsius. The continuous rainfall is also likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in multiple regions.
The administration has not issued any notice regarding closure of schools; however, it advised the parents to stay alert for the next few days. The IMD has advised the fishermen to follow the guidelines and maintain a distance from the water bodies.
Apart from Chennai, several other districts of Tamil Nadu, including Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Villuppuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Ariyalur, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Kanniyakumari, and Tirunelveli, are set to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
