Chennai Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. While Chennai is expected to receive light rainfall in the evening hours on Sunday, the city is not likely to receive rain for the next few days. However, the residents are set to experience cloudy skies and gentle breezes till December 10. The weather department also stated that the coastal regions are likely to witness light to moderate rain for the next few days. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.

Chennai Weather Forecast Till December 10:

December 7: Residents are set to witness light rain in the evening hours, along with a gentle breeze and cloudy skies. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 30 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 24 degrees Celsius.

December 8: While no rainfall is predicted on Monday, the residents are set to experience cloudy skies and a gentle breeze.

December 9: The residents are not likely to witness rainfall; the maximum temperature is likely to surge by two to four degrees Celsius.

December 10: Light rainfall, along with a gentle breeze and cloudy skies, is expected on Wednesday. The maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 28 degrees Celsius.

The weather department also stated that several districts, including Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Sivaganga, Pudukkottai, Virudhunagar, Nellai, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, and Dindigul, are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. It further stated that the continuous rainfall will lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in several regions.

Apart from Tamil Nadu, the coastal regions of several other states, including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala, are also expected to witness rainfall.
