Chhattisgarh Accident: A devastating collision between an SUV and a truck occurred on Sunday in Kabirdham district, Chhattisgarh, resulting in the deaths of five people, including three women and a minor girl.

The victims were travelling in a Bolero SUV with ten people on board, including the driver, when the accident happened around 4:30 pm near Akalgharia village under the Chilpi police station area.

The deceased were originally from West Bengal and were returning to Bilaspur to catch a train to Kolkata after visiting Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Five others sustained injuries, with two critically hurt.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Two girls were admitted to Kawardha District Hospital, while an injured man was taken to Bodla Community Health Centre. Meanwhile, two critically injured individuals were shifted to a hospital in Raipur for further treatment.

4 Killed, 15 Injured In Gujarat Accident

In a separate deadly accident that occurred in Gujarat’s Patan, at least four people died and 15 were injured on Sunday after a pickup van collided with a truck and two two-wheelers near Radhanpur.

The accident occurred on the national highway near Moti Pipli village around 10 am.

Superintendent of Police Vasant Nayi said the van collided head-on with a truck during an overtaking attempt on a stretch where one lane was blocked due to road construction.
