NDA Meet Today: Amid ongoing NDA meeting in Delhi, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan and BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi Kangana Ranaut shared a cordial gesture at Parliament complex. Newly elected MPs of the National Democratic Alliance joined the meeting on cabinet formation ahead of the swearing-in ceremony. Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third time on Sunday. The oath-taking ceremony will take place at 6 PM on June 9.

The 2024 Lok Sabha election was concluded on June 4, with the BJP securing 240 seats. Despite not reaching the 272-seat majority on its own, the BJP will form the government with the support of its NDA allies. The NDA won 293 seats, above the majority mark of 272 in the 543-member Lok Sabha.

Earlier on Thursday, Paswan said he is looking forward to meeting actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, opposite whom he made his acting debut in 2011. "I am looking forward to meeting her. We shared a good relationship and worked on a film. We will be meeting in Parliament. I think she is a strong lady; she voices herself very articulately and I am looking forward to listening to her in Parliament," Paswan said as quoted by news agency PTI.

Kangana Ranaut made her political debut from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and won the seat against Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh with a margin of 74,755 votes on Tuesday. According to the latest data from the Election Commission of India, She bagged 5,37,022 votes while Singh got 4,62,267 votes. The Mandi constituency holds symbolic significance for the Congress, as it is considered a bastion of the Virbhadra family. Chirag contested from the Hajipur seat in Bihar in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and won by huge margin of 1.70 lakh votes.
