CJP Protest Day 2: Dipke Vows To Continue Parliament March As Delhi Police File Multiple FIRs Over Clashes | Updates

As the Cockroach Janata Party's protest enters day 2, Abhijeet Dipke continues his sit-in protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The Delhi police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) over vandalism, violence, and alleged attacks on police personnel during the Parliament March protest on Monday. Officials have launched a legal action against unidentified persons following clashes in Connaught Place, Parliament Street Police Station, and other police stations. The cops are attempting to trace the accused through scanning CCTV footage.

The protest comes days after the youth-led party founded by Abhijeet Dipke has been demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradesh over the alleged irregularities linked to the NEET UG 2026 paper leak. Scientist-activist Sonam Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for over 20 days and was shifted to the Safdarjung Hospital by the New Delhi police on Sunday.

-Abhijeet Dipke accused the police of using excessive force against demonstrators and questioned the detention of protesters. Dipke alleged that police resorted to a lathi charge, assaulted women protesters and used force against students during Monday's demonstration.

-The Delhi police have released footage showing stone pelting in Delhi’s Connaught Place area. In the video, a group of people was seen pelting stones from behind police barricades. The police appealed to all protestors to maintain peace, exercise restraint, and cooperate with the police in ensuring peace and public order.

-Activist Sonam Wangchuk's vital parameters remain stable, as per the latest medical bulletin issued by Safdarjung Hospital. However, doctors said his blood sugar levels continue to be low, while his serum potassium level stands at 3.2 mEq/L. The bulletin also noted persistent pancytopenia, including anaemia and low leukocyte counts, requiring close monitoring through serial investigations.

-CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke apologised to supporters injured during Monday's clashes with police, particularly women protesters. In a post on X, he said the organisers "could have done better" to protect demonstrators and accused the Delhi Police of using excessive force.

-CJP Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka demanded answers from the cops on the number of protestors still in custody. He asked for the immediate release of those detained.
