Congress is likely to hold the second phase of the Bharat Jodo Yatra between December 2023 and February 2024. It is expected that the yatra will conducted on foot and also using vehicles.
The first phase of the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was held last year in September. The Yatra from Kanyakumari to Jammu and Kashmir started on September 7 and continued till January 30, 2023. The distance of approximately 4,080 kilometres covered 75 districts in 12 states, making India's longest foot march.

On September 7, the anniversary of the launch of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress said the foot march was not just a physical endeavour but a sincere effort to "rebuild our broken collective conscience", with Rahul Gandhi asserting that the yatra will continue until hatred is eradicated and India is united.

On the first anniversary of his Bharat Jodi Yatra, Rahul Gandhi also shared a video on X showing his 136-day journey, which covered over 4,000-km journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

"Crores of steps towards unity and love of Bharat Jodo Yatra have become the foundation of a better tomorrow for the country," he captioned the video. "The journey continues—till hatred vanishes, till India unites. This is my promise! he added.
