DELHI Commission for Women (DCW) Chief on Friday issued a notice to DCP, Delhi Metro over the viral video of a man who was seen masturbating while sitting on a seat in Delhi Metro.

"The Delhi Commission for Women has taken suo-moto cognizance on a video where a man is seen masturbating in Delhi Metro. The video is being widely sitting on a seat in Delhi Metro. This is a very serious matter," said the official notice.

Earlier in the day, Maliwal had said that she was issuing a notice to Delhi Police and Delhi Metro to ensure the "strictest possible action".

"Came across a viral video where a man can be seen shamelessly masturbating in Delhi Metro. It is absolutely disgusting and sickening. I am issuing a notice to Delhi Police and Delhi Metro to ensure the strictest possible action against this shameful act," she tweeted.

The disturbing video that is being widely shared on social media shows a man watching something on his phone and masturbating sitting on a seat in Delhi Metro, while other commuters move away from him.

A few days back, a video of a girl was also being shared widely on social media. The girl who was wearing a small dress was massively criticised by everyone. While many called it a publicity stunt, some also believed that she was influenced by Uorfi Javed. However, in an interview, the girl revealed that she has been travelling in such dresses in the metro for months and she has not been doing it for any publicity. She also mentioned that what others think of her doesn't affect her.

Meanwhile, as her video went viral on social media, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) issued an official statement asking everyone to follow "social etiquette and protocols which are acceptable in the society".

"Commuters should not indulge in any activity or wear any attire which could offend the sensibilities of other fellow passengers," read the statement.
