Delhi AQI Today: Delhi’s Battle with worsening air quality continues; however, Delhi air quality registered a moderate improvement on Sunday, with the city recording an air quality index of 305 at 7 am, remaining in the ‘very poor’ category, but improving a little according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The Delhi AQI today improved by 28 points from Yesterday, with the national capital registering 333 AQI on Saturday at 7 am.

The CPCB data from multiple air quality monitoring stations across Delhi showed that the air remained ‘very poor’ in a major part of the city, with only a few stations registering ‘poor’, which is below 300 AQI points.
 

Station-Wise Delhi AQI Today

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) monitors air quality data through 40 monitoring stations across the city.

As per the data CPCB shared at 7 am on Sunday, only 12 out of 40 monitoring stations registered an AQI under 300, placing them in the ‘poor’ category. The majority of the Delhi AQI stations with ‘very poor’ AQI remained below 350 points on Sunday.

Delhi Areas With Higher AQI Today

Anand Vihar- 327 (improved 9 points from yesterday), Ashok Vihar- 323 (improved by 25 points from Yesterday), Bawana- 352, Chandni Chowk- 308, Dwarka Sector 8- 308, Jahangir Puri- 334, Mundka- 363, Wazirpur- 335, Burari Crossing-319, Rohini-340 and Punjabi Bag- 322, improving by 26 AQI points from yesterday.
 
 

The majority of the air quality monitoring index stations have registered improvement in Delhi’s air quality. The marginal improvement could have possibly caused by the fact that today is Sunday, resulting in fewer vehicles on the road and comparatively low pollution causing industrial work.

IGI Airport- 225 (improved 38 points from yesterday), Aya Nagar- 261 (improving 28 points from Saturday), Mandir Marg- 212, NSIT Dwarka- 227, IIT Delhi- 267, Lodhi Road-281, Lodhi Road-IMD- 278 and CRRI Mathura Road-291.
