Delhi Ashram Molestation Case: The ongoing investigation into the Delhi ashram sexual assault case has taken a darker turn, with police uncovering shocking evidence on the phone of self-styled godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Partha Sarathy. Authorities have found multiple chat conversations revealing his predatory behavior, including attempts to manipulate women with promises and flattery.

Alongside these chats, police discovered photographs of Chaitanyananda with female cabin crew members and screenshots of various women’s social media profile pictures, raising further concerns about his intentions.

The case, centered around allegations of sexual harassment at Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, has already led to the arrest of two women who allegedly assisted Chaitanyananda. These accomplices are currently under interrogation as police work to unravel the full extent of the scandal.

Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati Sexual Assault Case: What We Know So Far

- Chaitanyananda is accused of molesting 17 female students at a private institute in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, allegedly sending inappropriate and lewd messages to young women and evading authorities for nearly two months.

- On Monday, Delhi Police interrogated Chaitanyananda Saraswati over allegations of sexually harassing female students at Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management.

- Police sources report that Chaitanyananda has been uncooperative during questioning, allegedly providing investigators with false information.

- Investigations revealed his involvement in multiple fraudulent activities, including forging visiting cards and passports, with two fake cards recovered, one claiming he was a Permanent Ambassador of the United Nations and another as an Indian Special Envoy of BRICS.

- Police brought him to the institute on Monday, questioning him in the room where he allegedly summoned students, and inquired about his access to cameras. He was later taken back to the police station for further interrogation by senior officers.

- On Sunday, Delhi’s Patiala House Court remanded Chaitanyananda Saraswati to five days’ police custody.

- In addition to sexual harassment charges, he faces allegations of financial misappropriation, having withdrawn approximately Rs 60 lakh and allegedly misappropriated over Rs 30 crore in total.

- Chaitanyananda’s lawyer, Manish Gandhi, told ANI that a “huge conspiracy” involving prominent individuals is behind the allegations, suggesting a different underlying issue.

- Police recovered three phones, an iPad, and fake visiting cards from Chaitanyananda, which falsely presented him as a government official linked to BRICS and the UN.

- Chaitanyananda allegedly targeted women from economically weaker backgrounds. The first complaint was lodged on August 4 at Vasant Kunj North Police Station, with another filed by an Indian Air Force officer.

- Following the complaints, the institute received a letter from Air Force headquarters, as many students were daughters of Air Force personnel. The Governing Council of the Peetham held a virtual meeting on August 3 with over 30 female students.

- During the investigation, police recorded statements from 32 students, 17 of whom accused Chaitanyananda of using abusive language, sending obscene messages, and making unwanted physical advances.

- Students alleged Chaitanyananda asked intrusive questions about their personal and sexual lives, including whether they had sex with boyfriends or used condoms, sent messages like “Baby, I love you,” and threatened suspension or expulsion if they rejected his advances.

- Records indicate Chaitanyananda has a history of similar allegations, with molestation cases filed against him in 2009 and 2016.
