Delhi Blast Case: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested another doctor from Delhi for his alleged involvement in the Delhi blast that killed 15 and injured many. The agency stated that Dr Bilal Naseer Malla, the accused, had provided logistical support to suicide bomber Dr Umar. Apart from this, Dr Malla is also accused of destroying evidence related to the blast. While providing details, the NIA stated that Dr Malla belongs to the Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir and has been residing in the national capital. It further stated that Dr Malla is the eighth accused arrested so far in the case, adding that he will be interrogated for more details.

The agency stated that apart from providing logistical support to the prime accused, Dr Malla is also accused of destroying the evidence related to the blast. "NIA found him involved in the conspiracy behind the terrorist attack that killed 11 persons and injured several others in the Red Fort area," the agency said. "As per NIA investigations, Bilal had knowingly harboured the dead accused Umar Un Nabi by providing him logistical support. He is also accused of destruction of evidence related to the terrorist attack," it added.

The agency also stated that it is continuing the probe to disclose more details and detect the people involved in the conspiracy. It also conducted raids in Anantnag and Kulgam after receiving leads from terrorist Dr Adil Rather and his associate Jasir Bilal Wani. Dr Adil and Jasiri took the NIA team to the house of a particular person and to the forest in the upper part of Mattan in the Anantnag district. Apart from this, they also took the NIA team to a hill adjacent to Qazigund.

The blast near the iconic Red Fort claimed 15 lives and injured many, sending a shockwave through the whole country.
