Delhi BMW Crash: The Patiala House Court on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of the accused Gaganpreet Kaur in the Dhaula Kuan accident case till September 27, ANI reported. Kaur was arrested on Monday following a fatal accident that resulted in the death of Navjot Singh, a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs.
The accident occurred on Delhi’s Ring Road on September 14 when Singh’s motorcycle was struck by Kaur’s BMW. At the time, Singh and his wife were returning home from Bangla Sahib Gurdwara. His wife suffered serious injuries.

Gaganpreet Kaur on Tuesday claimed that the crash was "wholly accidental" and unintentional. Kaur also stated that she has no criminal antecedents, adding that she is a mother of two girls, who are minors.
Earlier, the medical report established that GaganpreeKaur was not under the influence of alcohol while she was driving. The blood sample report of the accused has turned out to be negative for alcohol consumption, as per the Delhi Police.
Parikshit Kakkar, the accused's husband has told the police that he was not aware of how the accident happened. Kakkar further stated that he informed his father-in-law and rushed to the hospital in a taxi after Gaganpreet Kaur informed him about the deadly accident.
However, the police asserted that it will check his statement and other evidence to verify if Kakkar was not hiding anything important. "Parikshit then told his father-in-law they needed treatment. Parikshit himself took a taxi and left for the hospital. The police will now corroborate the statement and other evidence to verify the sequence of events," the authority added.
