Delhi Book Fair 2025: Book lovers, get ready! The 29th edition of the Delhi Book Fair is set to take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from August 6 to 10, 2025. Organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP), this year’s event promises to be bigger and better, featuring the 25th Stationery Fair and the 9th Office Automation & Corporate Gift Fair alongside the main book fair.
Delhi Book Fair 2025: Theme
The Delhi Book Fair 2025 is inspired by the visionary initiative "Viksit Bharat @2047" led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to build a ‘Knowledge Economy,’ the theme for this year’s fair is: “Pustakein Aur Prakashan – Bahubhashiye Bharat ka Bhavishya” (Books and Publishers: The Future of Multilingual India). The theme highlights the importance of linguistic diversity and promotes a multilingual future for India through the power of books and publishing.

CM Rekha Gupta On Delhi Book Fair 2025

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the 29th Delhi Book Fair and shared her enthusiasm for reading. She emphasized that even in the digital age, books remain irreplaceable. “E-gadgets can never substitute the joy of reading a book,” she remarked. Rekha, who once served as the President of the Delhi University Students' Union, fondly recalled reading works by iconic Indian authors like Premchand during her student days.
She was accompanied by Delhi’s Minister of Art, Culture, and Language, Kapil Mishra, during the visit to the various stalls at the fair. The event, she said, symbolizes not just a love for literature, but also promotes patriotism and the unity of India’s linguistic diversity as per jagran.com reported.
