The AAP government on Monday presented its budget in Delhi. The 76,000 crore budget, themed around 'Ram Rajya', was presented by Delhi Finance Minister Atishi.
“Jai Shri Ram ! Kejriwal government will present Delhi's budget based on the ideals of Lord Ram and the concept of Ram Rajya,” AAP posted on X.

The Budget Session of the Delhi Assembly commenced on February 15 and has been extended till March 8.
A plethora of schemes were announced by the Arvind Kejriwal-led government in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Atishi highlighted the significant transformation in Delhi under the AAP government in the budget.
Key allocations:
- The Delhi government allocated Rs 16,396 crore for the education sector.
- The AAP government announced Rs 1,000 per month for women above 18 years of age under Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojna. Rs 4,000 will be allocated to push this through
- Delhi's Finance Minister Atishi announced a plan to lay down 1,000 km of road in villages of the national capital. Besides, she said dark spots will be spotted and removed across Delhi
- The government allocated Rs 8,685 crore for the health sector of Delhi. "Saving a person's life is 'Ram Rajya' as well. However, we all know that people were afraid of helping accident victims in Delhi a few years ago. That's why we started the 'Farishtey Dilli Ke' scheme. Under this, the Delhi government will bear the cost of expenses of the accident victims. As a part of this scheme, we have saved 22,000 lives in Delhi," says Delhi Finance Minister Atishi
- The Budget 2024-25 allocated Rs 902 crore for the development of unauthorised colonies in the national capital
- Delhi Finance Minister Atishi announced an outlay of Rs 510 crore for e-buses and Rs 500 crore for Delhi Metro
- Rs 5702 crore have been allocated for the transport sector in Delhi. Atishi said Delhi will have over 10,000 public transport buses, including 80 per cent e-buses by 2025
- Rs 8000 crore have been allocated for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

- A budget of Rs 6,216 crore has been kept aside for Social Welfare, Women and Child Development and SC/ST/OBC Welfare Department
- Budget allocation for the justice system increased by nearly 4 times to Rs 3,098 crores
