A chartered accountant died by suicide using a helium gas setup at an Airbnb flat in Delhi's Bengali Market area, police said. The 25-year-old man worked at a company in Gurugram and had booked the accomodation for eight days, from July 20 to 28. He had purchased the helium cylinder for Rs 3,500 from a Ghaziabad supplier found via IndiaMART, according to news agency PTI.

The man has also left behind a disturbing suicide note which was recovered from his pocket. The note mentions the reason behind the drastic move.

Suicide Note Says ‘Death Is Beautiful’

"I am writing a suicide note in case if you didn't see my post on social media in case someone deletes my post. I am going away, and no one should be held responsible for this," the man wrote.

As per note, the man had been staying alone after his father’s death in 2003. Following the demise, his mother went on to marry for the second time and he was raised by his grandparents. The man mentions that he struggled to a large extent after the death of his grandmother.

Helium Gas Cylinder Connected To 3 Pipes In Room

The man checked into the Airbnb near Janpath on July 28. The staff alerted the police after they noticed his room locked from inside for a long time. A team from the Barakhamba Police Station broke open the door, and found a helium gas cylinder connected to three plastic pipes, PTI reported, citing an officer. The officer also added that helium inhalation is highly fatal for it leads to a lack of oxygen in the body.

"The saddest part of my life was my birth; death is the most beautiful part of my life. If you're reading this, I'm already gone. I wasn't deeply connected to anyone, nor was anyone to me. There's no reason, no regret, and no complaint," the note read.

The man has also urged the authorities not to hold anyone responsible for his death. As a last wish, he requested his organs be donated and his money used to to carry out charity work.
