The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Saturday reportedly dismantled an international arms trafficking module with links to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The crime branch arrested four key operatives and seized multiple sophisticated foreign-made weapons, further confirming that the weapons were smuggled from Pakistan. The officials stated that the seizure of these weapons is likely to provide key leads in tracing the network's operations. The raid was conducted days after the blast near Red Fort in which 13 people were killed and several others were injured.

The crime branch seized several lethal weapons, including the Turkiye-made PX-5.7 pistol and the China-made PX-3 pistol, suggesting the serious nature of the trafficking, reported the Times Of India. "The seized consignment includes 10 high-end foreign-made semi-automatic pistols along with 92 live cartridges," Special CP (Crime) Devesh Srivastava was quoted as saying by the TOI.

The officials also stated that the arrest of these individuals is likely to provide leads in tracing the network operations. "The arrests and seizures are expected to provide critical leads in tracing the full extent of the network's operations, its forward and backward linkages, and the individuals or groups who were the ultimate intended recipients of these deadly weapons," Joint CP Surendra Kumar was quoted as saying by the TOI.
