Delhi Election 2025 Live Voting Updates: Voting for the high-stakes Delhi Assembly Election concluded across all 70 seats on Wednesday, February 5. The capital is witnessing a tri-cornered contest between the Aam Aadmi Party, the Congress, and the BJP. Which of the three parties will manage to win the national capital elections will be clear after the counting of votes take place on February 8, Saturday.
While a total of 699 candidates were in the fray for the Delhi elections, the electorate comprised of 1.56 crore voters. Of the voters, 83.76 lakh are men, 72.36 lakh are women, and 1,267 are third-gender voters. A voter turnout of 57.70 per cent was recorded till 5 pm in the Delhi Assembly polls, according to officials figures released by the Election Commission. Security was tightened across the city in preparation for the polling exercise.

A unique polling station has been set up in Delhi's Vikaspuri with the theme 'Chandrayan se chunav tak Bharat ki udaan'. Telescopes and bioscopes have been installed and volunteers have been dressed up as astronauts to assist voters.
Vikaspuri SDM and Returning Officer Dr Nitin Shakya said, "Theme of this polling station is Chandrayaan se chunav tak' and we have showcased models of Chandryaan and PSLV which have been made by students of Rajdhani College, Shivaji College and Bharti College. Delhi Election 2025 Live Updates: Delhi Police clarifies Sanjay Singh's claims on detention of AAP worker
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday alleged that one of his party workers, Uday Gill, who had recently joined the party was detained by the police "without" any reason. Taking to X, Sanjay Singh wrote, "One of our workers, Uday, has been detained at the Mandir Marg police station without any reason. I am present at the police station."
However, the official handle of DCP New Delhi in a post of X, wrote, "He is detained as he was physically forcing people to come on particular political party table along with his accomplice."
Singh has further alleged that BJP workers are not allowing AAP workers to sit at the table near a polling booth."BJP's hooliganism at Tughlaq Lane booth is not allowing our workers to sit at the table," Singh posted on X.
Replying to this post of the AAP member of Parliament, DCP New Delhi said that the table placed by AAP workers was "extra" and violated guidelines of the Election Commission of India. "There was an extra table and party symbol on table violating the ECI guideline therefore the extra table and party symbol was removed," the social media post read.,

Delhi Elections Live Updates: Voting briefly halted at polling booth in Seelampur
After a voter alleged fake voting at a polling booth set up in Aryan Public School, Block Level Officer, Seelampur, Sabina Sadiq says, "A woman voter who had come to vote was told that her vote has already been cast. At that moment, the voting was temporarily halted."
Delhi Police says, "A PCR call was made by one 26-year-old Mohini, resident of Usmanpur, alleging that her vote had already been cast by someone else. The enquiry revealed that confusion arose due to a voter having a similar name, Munni Devi, aged 60 years having the same address. The 60-year-old woman was an earlier tenant at the same address. After verification, the Presiding Officer allowed both women to cast vote.",
