Despite heightened security measures at the Tikri border in view of the farmers' protest, board exams were held hassle-free and no delay was reported in the conduct of examination. Vehicles were arranged by the police and paramilitary officials to help students reach their respective centres near the Tikri border.

Farmers Protest Live Updates: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar on Thursday criticised the "method" adopted by farmers to press their demands, saying they are trying to march to Delhi like an army on the offensive.

Due to the ongoing farmers' protest, rail traffic on the Ambala division of the Northern Railway has been affected. Several trains inclduing train number 04753, Bathinda-Shri Ganganagar service and train number 04756, Shri Ganganagar-Bathinda service cancelled today.

Rail traffic on the Ambala division of the Northern Railway has been affected due to the ongoing farmers' protest, an official said. The 'Delhi Chalo' march of the farmers from Punjab against the central government entered its third day on Thursday.

Farmer protesters from Rajpura in Punjab's Patiala are sitting on rail tracks and blocking trains at Rajpura Railway Station. 

Ahead of a meeting with a panel of the Centre, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher says the Prime Minister Narendra Modi should speak to the three visiting Union Ministers to resolve the farmers' issues.

A panel of three Union ministers will hold a meeting with protesting farmer leaders in Chandigarh at 5 PM today. A fresh round of takes will take place amid the ongoing standoff between the agitators and security personnel at the Punjab-Haryana border.

The meeting of the Farmer's Unions and the central government is scheduled for 5 PM today. Sarvan Singh Pandher said that the unions are hopeful of a resolution."We are going to attend the meeting in a completely positive mood today and we have full confidence that a positive solution will emerge from this meeting..." Pandher says.

On Tuesday, as many as 20,000 farmers under 200 unions embarked on the Delhi Chalo March to press their demands, which include a law-bound MSP and implementation of the Swaminathan Committee report.

"We have a meeting with the ministers today, and we want PM Modi to have a conversation with them so that we can reach a solution for our demands. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijaya Singh has taken a potshot at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government saying he condemned government action to stop farmers from entering Delhi for a protest. He made the remark while speaking to reporters in the state capital Bhopal on Wednesday.

Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapur said 24 police personnel were injured in stone pelting indents at Haryana-Punjab Shambhu Border, Jagran.com reported.

Bharti Kisan Union Ekta Ugrahan announced they will hold a four-hour Chakka Jam on railways tracks on Feb 15 after police action against farmers’ Delhi Chalo march, Jagran.com reported.  

Union Minister Arjun Munda urged protesting farmers to cooperate and communicate with them to resolve their issues. He assured them that all the works of an administrative nature would be fast-tracked.  ,

Commuters on GT Karnal Highway are reeling under a three-kilometre traffic jam near the Bhalswa landfill site, Jagran.com reported. Back-to-back barricading has been placed on the road by Delhi police. As many as 20 containers filled with sand have been placed on the highway.

Security forces fired tear gas shells as farmers were seen approaching close to the barricades placed at the Shambhu Border near Ambala.,

Union Minister Anurag Thakur said the government has time and again addressed the grievances of the farmers and as they have added new demands, more time was required to have a discussion. He urged the protesters to not indulge in vandalism, arson or violence adding that they should come for a dialogue with the government. 

The Haryana Government on Wednesday suspended the mobile service, bulk SMS and all dongle services in the state till 15th February. The decision has been taken due to a critical and tense law and order situation due to the farmers' Delhi Chalo march. Voice call services will, however, prevail without disruptions.,

Security forces created a trench in a village near the Shambhu border to prevent vehicular movement, PTI reported. It was done in anticipation that the agitators may take alternate routes to cross the Haryana-Punjab border. Farmers will continue their 'Delhi Chalo' march today.

RAF personnel, police and riot control vehicles were deployed at the Singhu Border in Delhi in view of the farmers' protest. Security was beefed up in Haryana’s Bahadurgarh as the farmers have announced to continue to march towards the National Capital. Police carried out a comprehensive operation to check vehicles passing through the Shambhu border area in Ambala.  ,

Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee General Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher said they want a legal guarantee on MSP if a law could be formed so soon. He sought PM Modi’s intervention saying the latter should step forward and speak with the farmers.  ,
