In a shocking incident, an unidentified man climbed a high-voltage electric pole in the Yamuna Khadar area under Geeta Colony police station limits in Delhi on Wednesday morning. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot. 

After reaching the spot, the police and personnel from the Delhi Fire Service safely brought him down. The man demanded to speak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, and Chief Justice DY Chandrachud regarding the issue of environmental conservation.

"At 10:30 am, we received a call about a man who had climbed a high-tension wire pillar. He demanded to speak with the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, and the Chief Justice regarding environmental conservation. It is unclear where he is from, as he has been giving conflicting information," Delhi Fire Service ADO Yashwant Singh Meena was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Meena stated that the man mentioned being from either Bengal or Bihar and claimed to work as a teacher. The investigation into the matter is underway.

Earlier this year, a youth climbed up a high-voltage tower in Kattachira village in Kerala’s Kottayam raising a suicide threat. The youth, identified as Pradeep of Melambara, near Erattupetta, climbed up the 80-ft-tall tower and demanded that the government take steps to construct a new house for his family. After receiving the alert, a police and Fire and Rescue Services team rushed to the spot and launched efforts to bring him down.
