Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut: The Last corridor of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) between Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut is all set to be launched tomorrow, as the inauguration is likely to be held on Wednesday, September 17, Times Now reported.
However, there’s no confirmation of the launch; officials said that the stretch is likely to be commissioned soon. “The entire 82.15 km long corridor with 16 stations, starting from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Uttar Pradesh, is likely to be commissioned soon," officials said, according to PTI.

Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS: Sarai Kale Khan Corridor Benefits
- Reduced Travel Time: The new station will cut down travel time between Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut to just 1 hour via Namo Bharat.
- Station Size: The station is 215 meters long, 50 meters wide, and 15 meters high, designed to handle a large number of passengers.
- Interconnection: It will provide seamless connectivity between three RRTS corridors and serve as a major transit hub linking Delhi and neighbouring states.
- Multi-Modal Hub: The station will integrate bus terminals, metro lines, and railway stations, making travel easier.
- Train Design and Manufacturing: The trainsets were designed in Hyderabad and manufactured at Alstom's facility in Gujarat.
- Project Cost: The project cost is around Rs 30,000 crore.
- Impact: It's expected to increase public transport usage on the Delhi-Meerut route from 37 per cent to 63 per cent.
