- Green Line passengers from Bahadurgarh to Delhi affected.
Ahead of Independence Day, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced heightened security measures across its network. Thousands of commuters travelling between Bahadurgarh and Delhi via the Green Line have been advised to allow for extra travel time over the next few days due to intensified CISF checks.
According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will conduct intensive security checks at all metro stations from August 9 to 16. This could lead to long queues at many stations, especially during peak hours.
Anuj Dayal, principal executive director of corporate communications for DMRC, stated that to strengthen security ahead of Independence Day, passenger screening will be more thorough. Given the potential for additional security checks, passengers are advised to plan their travels in advance and leave home with a little extra time.

Delhi Metro latest update
In the recent days, DMRC achieved a major, remarkable milestone by installing a 58-metre-long steel span across NH-9 and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway near the Noida Electronic City Metro station on the Blue Line.
A reversal facility for Metro trains is being built beyond Noida Electronic City to help trains smoothly reverse after completing their trips. The project includes two special steel spans measuring 58 metres and 73 metres, both crossing NH-9 and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
It also began construction work on the Inderlok-Indraprastha Corridor, which is part of the Phase 4 expansion project. The 12.377 km long corridor is being developed as a fully underground extension of the Magenta Line (Line 8). It will feature 10 underground stations, further expanding Delhi Metro’s underground network.
