Delhi Metro Timings: With the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) bye-elections approaching, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced special early-morning services to facilitate the smooth movement of polling personnel across 12 wards in the city.

This initiative is designed to ensure that polling staff can reach their assigned booths on time, both on polling day and the day of the vote counting.

The DMRC has confirmed that metro services will start earlier than usual on Sunday, November, 30 2025, the polling day.

Operations across all metro lines will begin at 4:00 AM, with trains running at a 30-minute frequency until 6:00 AM. After that, the regular Sunday timetable will resume.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), DMRC stated, "To ensure smooth and timely movement of polling personnel and staff during the MCD Bye-Elections in 12 wards, Delhi Metro will start services early on both polling and counting days."

"On Sunday, 30th November 2025 (Polling Day), train services will begin from all terminal stations at 4:00 AM with a frequency of 30 minutes until 6:00 AM, after which regular services will resume according to the Sunday timetable. The Blue Line, which connects Delhi to Noida in Uttar Pradesh, will also follow the 4:00 AM start, mirroring the early operations across the metro network. The Blue Line will operate from 4:00 AM to 1:30 PM on both polling and counting days.

Early operations will continue on the day of vote counting. DMRC confirmed, "On Wednesday, 3rd December 2025 (Vote Counting Day), services will begin at 4:00 AM, with a 30-minute frequency until 6:00 AM, followed by the regular weekday timetable."

With vote counting taking place at multiple centers and staff needing to travel between locations early, this schedule change will help reduce the pressure on last-mile commuting.

The by-elections will take place in the following wards: Mundka, Shalimar Bagh-B, Ashok Vihar, Chandni Chowk, Chandni Mahal, Dwarka-B, Dichaon Kalan, Naraina, Sangam Vihar-A, Dakshin Puri, Greater Kailash, and Vinod Nagar.
