Metro services in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata will operate on a revised schedule on Holi 2025, which falls on Friday, March 14. Authorities in these major cities have adjusted metro timings considering passenger safety and the festive celebrations. Passengers in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata should be mindful of the revised metro schedules on March 14 and plan alternative travel options for the morning hours.

Delhi Metro Timings On Holi 2025

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that train services will remain suspended across all metro lines, including the Airport Express Line, until 2:30 PM on March 14. Normal operations will resume thereafter from terminal stations on all lines.

''On the day of the Holi festival, March 14, metro services will not be available until 2.30 pm on all Delhi Metro lines, including the Airport Express Line,'' DMRC said in an official statement on Tuesday. Delhi residents are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, as there will be no metro connectivity in the morning hours.

Mumbai Metro Timings On Holi 2025

The Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1, which connects Belapur to Taloja via Kharghar, will also follow a revised schedule. Services will remain suspended in the morning and will resume from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with trains running at 15-minute intervals, as per the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO).

This metro corridor serves as a crucial transport link for office-goers and daily commuters due to its affordability and efficiency. Those who depend on it for regular travel are encouraged to stay updated with CIDCO's announcements and consider alternative travel options if necessary.

Kolkata Metro Timings On Holi 2025

Kolkata Metro will operate a limited number of services on Holi. On the Dakshineswar-New Garia (North-South) corridor, 60 services (30 in each direction) will run from 2:30 PM onward, compared to the usual 262 services. The Esplanade-Howrah Maidan (East-West) corridor will have 42 services (21 up and 21 down) starting from 3:00 PM, significantly lower than the regular 130 services. 

Similarly, on the Sealdah-Sector 5 (East-West) corridor, only 22 services (11 up and 11 down) will be available from 3:00 PM, whereas 106 services operate on a normal weekday. Since public transport in Kolkata generally remains suspended during morning hours on Holi, metro authorities have advised passengers to plan their travel accordingly.
