Delhi-NCR Rains:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast partly cloudy skies accompanied by light rain in the Delhi-NCR region, including Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad and several other parts of the national capital on Friday. The weather in Delhi-NCR has been pleasant over the past 24 hours.

As per IMD, till September 22, maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34.4 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature will stay around 24.9 degrees Celsius.

The western disturbance is weakening and as a result, the monsoon will depart from Delhi by September 21 or 22. The monsoon is usually scheduled to depart by September 25, but this time it appears to be departing earlier.

Delhi Pollution Levels

As the heavy rains have subsided, air pollution levels in Delhi began to rise. For a long time, the AQI had been hovering below 100, or in the "satisfactory" category. However, it has been increasing in the past few days. It is currently in the "moderate" category. In some areas of Delhi, it has even reached above 200, or the "poor" category.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's AQI was recorded at 107 on Thursday. This level of air quality is considered "moderate." There is no sign of it decreasing anytime soon.
