Delhi-NCR Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several regions of Delhi are set to witness rainfall for the next two days. The weather department asserted that along with rain, these regions are also expected to receive strong surface winds and lightning. The rainfall is likely to reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing much-needed relief from the scorching heat. The residents have been advised to follow the guidelines to avoid any inconveniences.

Delhi-NCR: Rain Alert Till June 5

As per the weather department, multiple regions of Delhi and other nearby cities, including Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, are also likely to witness rainfall in the upcoming days. While the maximum temperature in the national capital is likely to be calculated at 40 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 28 degrees Celsius.

Earlier on Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 37.7 degrees Celsius, 2.3 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature stood at 26.8 degrees Celsius, 0.1 degrees below normal. The humidity level in the national capital remained between 71 and 41 per cent.

The IMD stated that the residents will witness similar weather conditions on Wednesday. It stated that light rainfall, accompanied by lightning and strong winds up to 30 to 40 km/h, is also forecast for the evening or night. The weather department has also issued a yellow alert for rainfall for at least the next two days.

The residents are likely to get relief from the scorching heat throughout the entire week. The maximum temperature will also remain below 40 degrees Celsius, the IMD informed. However, rainfall is also likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences.

The weather department has advised the residents to stay updated and limit their outings in the peak daytime hours for the next few days.
