Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old domestic worker was allegedly killed by her employer in South Delhi’s Kailash Hills on Thursday. According to police, the accused attacked her with a bat and subsequently stabbed her with a knife.
The incident comes just two months after the daughter of an IRS officer was allegedly raped and murdered by a former domestic helper in the same area.
Domestic Worker Murdered, Employer Found Sitting Next To Body
According to a report by news agency PTI, the police received a PCR call at around 11:30 AM on Tuesday, reporting that a woman had been murdered on the terrace of a neighbouring building and was lying blood-soaked at the spot.

"A police team rushed to the spot and found the victim dead. A man in his 50s was also present near the body when they arrived," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari was quoted as saying.
The accused was immediately apprehended at the scene and questioned to ascertain the motive behind the killing. During interrogation, he confessed to attacking the woman with a bat and subsequently stabbing her with a knife.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Dr Manish Gupta, a dermatologist. According to DCP Tiwari, the victim, identified as Meena, had been employed as his domestic helper for a long time.
"The main motive behind the murder is not clear, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the motive," he added.
Investigators suspect the crime may have stemmed from a personal dispute, all angles are currently being examined. Following the incident, the body was sent for postmortem and a case has been registered under relevant sections. A crime team was also called to inspect the scene and collect forensic evidence. Additionally, the weapons used in the crime have been seized from the post.
