DTU Students Suicide: Two BBA students from the Delhi Technological University (DTU) allegedly jumped to death from the fourth floor of their paying guest (PG) accommodation in Delhi's Rohini, news agency PTI reported citing an official.
"We received information that two students jumped from a building on Monday morning in the K N Katzu area. Police teams have been rushed to the spot. The matter is under investigation," a senior police officer told PTI.
In another incident that took place in November this year, a 19-year-old man allegedly died by suicide at a mall in Dwarka. The incident took place at Vegas Mall in Sector 14, according to the police. The deceased was identified as a second-year BTech student who lived in a hostel. The police stated that the man’s father is an engineer with a renowned airline and is currently posted in Jaipur.
In another incident, a 23-year-old man died by suicide by jumping off an elevated platform at the Mayur Vihar-1 Metro Station in November. Metro officials promptly transported the injured individual to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for medical attention after the incident.
Despite efforts to save him, the victim, identified as G Abhishek Rao from Mayur Vihar-1, succumbed to his injuries during treatment, according to officials. A team was dispatched to the scene as soon as a distress call was received at the control room, police added.
