Delhi Traffic Advisory: In view of Ramlila and Dusshera celebrations at the Red Fort from September 22 to October 3, the Delhi Traffic Police on Saturday issued an advisory informing about traffic diversions and restrictions during the period.

Three major Ramlilas, including Lav Kush Ramlila, Nav Shri Dharmik Ramlila and Shri Dharmik Ramlila, are scheduled to be organised along with rides and food stalls, news agency PTI reported. A large number of devotees, visitors and VIPs are expected to attend Ramlila and Dussera celebrations at the Red Fort ground.

The Delhi Traffic Police has urged residents to cooperate and plan their journey accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Delhi Traffic Advisory For Ramlila And Dusshera: Check Restrictions, Diversions

- Commercial vehicles and DTC buses will not be allowed to proceed towards Lal Quila (Red Fort) between 5 PM and midnight during the festival period. Instead, they will be diverted from Delhi Gate Chowk, Daryaganj and Chatta Rail Chowk.

- The Delhi Traffic Police has urged commuters to avoid Netaji Subhash Marg near the Red Fort.
Nishant Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police, told PTI, “Traffic movement will remain restricted on Netaji Subhash Marg from Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail Chowk and on Nishad Raj Marg, due to the crowd expected to come to these three Ramlilas.”

- The advisory further stated that the diversions will also be enforced for private vehicles from Chhatta Rail Chowk, T Point Subhash Marg, Delhi Gate, Shanti Van Chowk and GPO Chowk on Lothian Road if required.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Check Alternate Routes, Parking Arrangements

- The Delhi Traffic Police has urged commuters to take an alternate route via Delhi Gate to Rajghat to Shanti Van to Hanuman Setu to Kelaghat to Chatta Rail, and Chatta Rail to Hanuman Setu to Salimgarh Bypass to Rajghat to Delhi Gate to avoid inconvenience.

- Vehicles with parking labels have been advised to park their vehicles in reserved areas near Lahori Gate, 15 August Park, the rampart and inside the 4A Parking Area.

- Vehicles without parking labels can park their vehicles at Madhav Das Park, Tikona Park, Sunehari Masjid, Parade Ground, Dangal Maidan, Omaxe Mall and Church Mission Road.

- Additionally, no e-rickshaws, auto-rickshaws or cycle rickshaws will be allowed to go beyond Chhatta Rail Chowk and Delhi Gate on Netaji Subhash Marg.

Ways To Reach Red Fort For Ramlila Show

As the Delhi Traffic Police has restricted the movement of e-rickshaws, auto-rickshaws or cycle rickshaws beyond Chhatta Rail Chowk and Delhi Gate on Netaji Subhash Marg during the festive period, commuters are advised to use public transport or the Delhi Metro to reach the Red Fort and enjoy the Ramlila festivities.

The nearest metro stations to the Ramlila venue are Lal Quila and Jama Masjid.
