State Bureau, New Delhi: Rail traffic has not returned to normal since the freight train derailment near Ghaziabad on Tuesday. On Wednesday, several eastbound trains arrived in Delhi hours late. Thirty local trains were cancelled. Several long-distance trains, including the Kanpur Shatabdi, are also running late on Thursday.
Due to this, the departure times of several trains have been changed. The New Delhi-Darbhanga Superfast Express, scheduled to depart at 12:15 PM, will depart five hours late at 5:15 PM, and the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Duronto Express will depart one and a half hours late at 2 PM.
Along with long distance trains, many local trains are also running late due to which daily commuters are facing problems.
Saharanpur-Old Delhi Passenger is running late by one and a quarter hours, Saharanpur-Old Delhi MEMU and Ghaziabad-Old Delhi EMU are running late by one hour, Ghaziabad-Old Delhi EMU and Kurukshetra-Old Delhi EMU are running late by 45 minutes, Kurukshetra-Hazrat Nizamuddin MEMU, Hisar-New Delhi Passenger, Rewari-Old Delhi Passenger and Jind-Old Delhi Passenger are running late by half an hour.

As per the North Eastern Railway, train numbers 05096/05095, the Mau-Kolkata-Mau special train, will run for 10 additional trips, extending its scheduled service period.
