Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot inaugurated a new bus route, 783 Extension, linking the Central Secretariat to Dada Dev Temple in Palam. The inaugural event in Palam included notable attendees, including Palam MLA Bhavana Gaur and Bijwasan MLA Bhupinder Singh June, who joined Gehlot as he flagged off the buses.

DTC Bus 783 Extension Route 

Spanning 23.5 kilometres, this new route connects key areas and educational institutions, with four low-floor electric buses operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) providing an environmentally friendly option for daily commuters. Designed to enhance public transport access, the route passes major points including Raj Nagar, Dwarka and various public institutions, benefiting students, workers, and residents in these areas.

This new route aims to serve residents travelling to educational and research institutions like Shiksha Bharti College, Vishwa Bharti Public School, the National Malaria Research Institute and Central Sanskrit University.

The buses will traverse several prominent locations including Dev Dev Temple in Palam, Dwarka sectors, Janakpuri, Dhaula Kuan and Central Secretariat, offering comprehensive coverage for daily passengers across the city.

The minister stated the route’s role in fulfilling the Delhi government’s commitment to improving public transportation, particularly in outer and rural areas. "Our goal is to connect every corner of Delhi with public transport, making it easier for people to reach schools, hospitals and workplaces," Gehlot said, underscoring the government’s focus on accessible and reliable transit options for all Delhiites.
