UER-2 Toll Issue: In a strongly worded warning, the Delhi Mahapanchayat has given the government a one-week deadline to remove the toll on UER-2. If the demand is not met, the Mahapanchayat has threatened to stage a chakka jam on September 21.

AAP Extends Political Support For Protest

The opposition party in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has now joined the chorus, announcing its support for the agitating villagers. During a press conference with farmer representatives, AAP demanded the immediate removal of the toll, calling it a "curse" for the rural population. The party highlighted that the toll plaza has become a centre for extortion, with villagers forced to pay Rs 235 to travel between neighbouring villages.

‘We Can Bring The Govt Down’: Farmers' Warning On UER-2 Toll

The farmers have warned the Central Government that if the toll is not removed, they will be forced to repeal it, just like the three contentious farm laws. Surendra Solanki, Convener of the Mahapanchayat and head of Palam Khap 360, issued a stern warning, stating, "If we can form a government, we can also bring it down." The farmers have vowed to intensify their agitation if their demands are not met.
