The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced that water supply will be affected in several parts of Delhi on March 14 and 15 due to the flushing and cleaning of Underground Reservoirs (UGRs) and Booster Pumping Stations as part of its annual maintenance programme.

According to the board, the routine maintenance work may lead to low water pressure or temporary disruption of supply in the affected areas during the two days.

Areas affected on March 14:

  • BB Block East Shalimar Bagh BPS
  • AJ Block Shalimar Bagh BPS
  • Miladan Apartment, Paschim Vihar
  • BG-6, Mahalaxmi Apartment
  • BG-180 SFS Flats, Ashok Vihar
  • Kirti Nagar, Mansarovar Garden and Saraswati Garden
  • Punjabi Bagh and Madipur
  • Pocket-9A DDA Flats, Jasola Vihar
  • Block-II Kalkaji
  • LIG DDA Flats Kalkaji

Areas affected on March 15:

  • A2/LIG Ekta Apartment, Paschim Vihar
  • Ashirwad Apartment, Paschim Vihar

The DJB has appealed to residents to store sufficient water in advance to meet their needs. The board apologises for any inconvenience and hopes for cooperation. Water tankers will be available in case of emergency.

DJB said the annual cleaning programme is conducted to improve water quality and ensure the smooth functioning of supply systems across the capital. Residents have been urged to cooperate and make necessary arrangements in advance
