Delhi Water Supply: Water supply in several areas of the west Delhi will remain affected today and tomorrow for 16 hours. The local people are advised to make necessary arrangements to avoid any further problems.

The 1100 mm diameter header line feeding the 1200 mm diameter Pitampura Main and the 1100 mm diameter West Delhi Main within Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant Phase-I is undergoing maintenance, leading to the disruption to the Delhi water supply.

According to the Delhi Jal Board, the following areas will face water supply disruption on October 1 and 2:

-Varun Niketan

-Raja Garden

-Ramesh Nagar

-Khyala

-Rani Bagh

-Moti Nagar

-Shanta Puri Tagore Garden

-Tilak Nagar

-Rajouri Garden

-Hari Nagar, and nearby areas.

"!!WATER ALERT!! Due to major repair work in 1100 mm dia. Header line feeding to 1100 mm diameter West Delhi Main and 1200 mm dia Pitampura Main inside plant premises of Water Treatment Plant Haiderpur Ph-I," said Delhi Jal Board in an official statement.

Recently in September too several areas of the national capital witnessed water supply cut. There was an 18 hour water disruption starting the morning of September 25 due to maintenance work in Delhi's Rohini.
