Delhi-NCR Weather:  Heatwave conditions are expected to ease in Delhi-NCR and other regions of North India beginning on June 1. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted on Tuesday that breezes from the Arabian Sea will cause a minor reduction in temperature, and that the heatwave will almost be over. However, the national capital will be under a severe heat wave until May 29.

Light rain may fall in areas of the NCR on May 31 and June 1. On heatwave conditions in north India, Senior IMD scientist Dr Naresh Kumar says, "Heatwave conditions will prevail in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, west Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh for next two days. After that, there will be a slight drop in temperature due to winds coming from the Arabian Sea. We forecast that the temperature is expected to drop from June 1 and the heatwave should almost abate. The onset of Monsoon in Kerala can happen in the next 3-4 days."
