Delhi Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any specific alert for the national capital, forecasting light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and winds. Heavy rain lashed Delhi-NCR last Tuesday, continuing for nearly three hours. Delhi’s roads were inundated, causing people leaving their offices in the evening to be stuck in traffic jams for hours. A cold, strong wind left pedestrians shivering on the streets.
The weather in Delhi-NCR is expected to remain clear from October 9 to October 14, with sunshine prevailing from the morning.
On Wednesday, Delhi is likely to experience a partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to range between 31–33 degrees C and 20–22 degrees C, respectively, both near normal. Predominant surface winds are forecasted to blow from the northeast at 5–10 kmph in the morning, gradually increasing to 10–15 kmph from the northwest in the afternoon and continuing at the same speed and direction in the evening and night, according to the IMD.
On Thursday, the city is expected to have a mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to range between 31–33 degrees C and 20–22 degrees C, respectively, both near normal. Predominant surface winds are expected to blow from the northwest at 5–10 kmph in the morning.

Rain affected several parts of Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region (NCR) on Tuesday, with areas such as Feroze Shah Road, Central Delhi, Arjun Path near Vasant Vihar Flyover, and RK Puram experiencing light showers.
Due to the heavy rain on Tuesday, 15 flights were diverted at Delhi airport.
Sources told ANI that the diversions were implemented as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety in the event of adverse weather conditions. Of the total diverted flights, eight were rerouted to Jaipur, five to Lucknow, and two to Chandigarh.
