Delhi Weather Update: Delhi is currently getting a respite from scorching summer heat as the temperature has dropped to below average amid cloudy and rainy weather. The relief is to continue as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for very light to light rainfall today.

According to the weather department, the weather in the national capital is likely to remain cloudy with light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph.

During the evening and night, the thunderstorm conditions are likely to intensify with wind speed temporarily reaching up to 50 kmph. Apart from Delhi, other NCR cities like Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad are also likely to see similar weather.

Delhi-NCR five-day forcast 

The weather department has issued a yellow alert for the national capital and the nearby region till June 23. During this period, the entire Delhi-NCR is likely to get very light to light rainfall.

The rainfall will continue on June 24 too; however, the intensity of the downpour will see a decline to very light rainfall.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature in the national capital dropped to 36.4 degrees Celsius, which was 2.4 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature on Thursday also saw a decline to 27.2 degrees Celsius, which was also 0.3 degrees below normal
