Delhi Weather Update: Residents in Delhi-NCR woke up to overcast skies on Friday after a spell of light rain, drizzle, and a late-night dust storm with lightning swept across parts of the city on Thursday. NCR areas such as Noida and Gurugram also experienced brief showers and gusty winds.

The weather is expected to remain largely unchanged in the coming days, with intermittent thunderstorms, lightning, and light rainfall likely to continue. Winds are expected to blow at speeds of 20-40 km/h, keeping conditions relatively pleasant. The minimum temperature is likely to stay around 20 degrees C, while the maximum may hover near 30 degrees C.

According to the IMD forecast, there will be persistent cloud cover through the day, with chances of light rain or drizzle accompanied by thunder and lightning, especially during the morning to afternoon hours.

A fresh western disturbance is set to influence the region from March 28, which may trigger another round of light rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds across Delhi. This system could also lead to a slight drop in temperatures.

Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast (March 27-30)

- (March 27) Friday: Light rain with thunderstorms likely

- (March 28) Saturday: Partly cloudy skies, brief relief expected

- (March 29) Sunday: Thunderstorms, lightning, light showers, and gusty winds (30-40 km/h)with yellow alert in place

- (March 30) Monday: Rain and thunderstorms with strong winds expected

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature settled near 20 degrees C on Friday morning.

On the other hand, Delhi's AQI remained in the 'moderate' category with 185 on Thursday. According to the Air Quality Early Warning System, the air quality is likely to remain in the 'moderate' category for the next several days.
