Rajasthan took a significant step towards gaining wider global recognition for its tourism on Wednesday. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari flagged off specially branded FlixBuses from the historic Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur. The initiative will showcase Rajasthan’s culture, heritage, and tourist attractions to travellers across both the UK and India in a fresh and engaging way.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CM Diya Kumari said Rajasthan is not just a land of forts and palaces, but also a living hub of traditions and diverse experiences.
"Our culture and heritage are the soul of our identity. We want travelers from around the world to experience this essence. Through this partnership with FlixBus, these buses will act as moving ambassadors of Rajasthan. This initiative will not only strengthen the image of our state as a leading tourism destination but also create new opportunities for youth and boost the economy," she said.
Diya Kumari further added that the idea of this collaboration was conceptualised during her visit to Munich under the Rising Rajasthan initiative, and today it has turned into reality. She emphasized the Government of Rajasthan’s commitment to offering world-class facilities to its tourists at a global standard.
Under this partnership, heritage-themed FlixBuses will run on the London–Cambridge route in the UK and on the Dehradun–Haridwar–Delhi–Jaipur route in India. The buses will carry striking visuals of Rajasthan’s forts, palaces, and cultural symbols. Each bus will also feature QR codes that connect directly to the Rajasthan Tourism website, enabling travellers to access detailed information instantly.
Surya Khurana, Managing Director, FlixBus India, said the initiative is an effort to connect heritage and culture with modern travel experiences. "We want to offer passengers not just a journey, but an experience. Rajasthan’s rich history and cultural legacy are our inspiration, and we are committed to bringing this closer to global travelers," he said.
As part of this campaign, during the promotional period, 100 FlixBus travelers arriving in Jaipur will receive free entry to the Albert Hall Museum. The partnership will also be amplified through joint social media campaigns and user-generated content, ensuring strong international outreach.
