The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut, accusing her of making irresponsible remarks about young protesters and questioning her credibility as a public representative.

The response came a day after Ranaut criticised participants in the CJP-led protests, calling them "Generation Gutter" and describing their conduct and language as "crass" and "puke-inducing" in an Instagram post.

What Kangana Ranaut Said

Targeting the protesters, Ranaut wrote, "Ewww, who is birthing and raising them... India is a place of diversely beautiful people, draped in elegance and rooted in cultural sophistication. You call yourself cockroaches and look/behave like them as well. There is no paradox or juxtaposition there, just simply subjecting the world to your filth, garbage and ugliness. I am scarred from these reels. I need some healing, digital detox."

She also criticised women participating in the demonstrations, saying, "They proudly flaunt their freedom to have drugs, drinks and shamelessly live off their parents' earnings... I call them Generation Gutter. Some of them have nothing to offer to the system. They are not good at studies. They are so ugly and corrupt that they can't even be homemakers."

Her remarks sparked political criticism, with several leaders demanding an apology and questioning the comments directed at students and young protesters.

CJP's Response

Responding to Ranaut's statements, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das dismissed her comments, saying she was not taken seriously even within her own political party.

"Even members of her own party don't pay much heed to Kangana Ranaut or take her seriously, so why should we? I don't think anyone in Gen Z, Gen Alpha, or any younger generation takes her seriously or listens to what she says," ANI quoted Das.

Das also referred to Ranaut's earlier remarks about her role as a Member of Parliament.

"She is a politician now. There were videos from when she visited her constituency in Himachal Pradesh where she remarked that she had expected the job to require very little work, only to realise that being a Member of Parliament involves a massive amount of labour. That speaks volumes about her own seriousness," Das added.

The CJP spokesperson further said elected representatives should be mindful of the language they use in public. "Gen Z has done far more for this country than you have, and they continue to do so. Gen Z has worked to restore faith in the nation's democracy, something you haven't done. So, you should definitely keep that in mind," Das said.

He added that politicians should maintain the dignity of their office instead of making derogatory remarks about young people.

CJP Protest

The CJP began its agitation at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on June 20, demanding accountability over the alleged NEET paper leak, with one of its key demands being the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The protest intensified with a 'Parliament March' on July 20, during which demonstrators alleged they were lathi-charged, tear-gassed and fired upon with pellet guns. Police also reported injuries among security personnel during the clashes.

Following two rounds of discussions between the Centre and the CJP, Pradhan resigned on Saturday. The organisation subsequently called off its protest after claiming it had received assurances that peaceful protesters would not face action and that families of students who died by suicide after the alleged NEET paper leak would receive compensation.
