Investigation

Vishvas News first used the Google Open Search Tool to investigate the viral video. On searching with relevant keywords, we did not find any credible news that could confirm the claim. If an aeroplane had crashed anywhere in Agra, it would have made the news. We did not find any news report during the investigation.

Taking the investigation forward, we scanned the viral video and noticed the words Extreme Drive written on it. Based on this, we started searching for the handle named ‘Extreme Drive’ on Instagram. We found the viral video uploaded here on May 1, 2025. Many users called it an AI-generated video in their comments.

During our investigation, we found this video on several platforms. This video has gone viral on Instagram and YouTube, circulating with varying claims on different dates.

To verify the viral claim, we contacted our partner Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU). The DAU team analysed this video using several tools, which confirmed the possibility of it being created by AI. According to the DAU expert, "Two things become clear after watching the video carefully. The logo of the alleged plane on its tail does not resemble any known airliner. The use of vague words in place of the logo may be the fault of the generated video. Similarly, the windows of the plane were seen shaking unnaturally, which is not natural. They change their shape when the plane falls down. All this shows that the viral video is not real."

Vishvas News furthered the investigation and contacted Pratik Kumar, Senior Journalist, Dainik Jagran, Agra. and shared the viral post with him. He confirmed it to be fake and said that no such accident has happened in Agra.

At the end of the investigation, the user behind the fake post was identified. The Instagram handle, created in 2020, has over 800 followers.

Conclusion: Vishvas News investigated and found that the viral video is fake. No plane has crashed in Agra.
