Faridabad Terror Module: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday detained a preacher from Mewat, Haryana, in connection with a "white-collar" terror module reportedly operating from a university in Faridabad.

The cleric, identified as Maulvi Ishtiyaq, was living in a rented house within the Al Falah University campus in Faridabad. The police recovered 2,500 kilograms of explosive components, including ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate, and sulphur, from Ishtiyaq's residence.

According to the officials, the seized chemicals were believed to have been stored by Dr Muzammil Ganaie alias Musaib and Dr Umar Nabi, both of whom are key figures in the ongoing investigation. Nabi is identified as the driver of the explosives-laden car that detonated outside the Red Fort on Monday evening, resulting in 13 deaths and several injuries.

What Delhi Red Fort Blast Probe Revealed So Far?

According to the officials, the initial probe into the blast near the historic Red Fort suggests that the explosion was "accidentally triggered." The incident occurred while a hastily assembled explosive was being transported, shortly after an interstate terror module was busted.

The officials further stated that Dr Umar Nabi, a Pulwama-based doctor, was driving the car when the explosion took place. Nabi is alleged to have links to the terror module, which was busted following the recovery of modules, mainly from Faridabad in Haryana.

The blast was triggered by panic and desperation, after raids by security agencies across multiple locations in Delhi-NCR and Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama to nab the suspects believed to be members of the terror module, news agency PTI quoted sources as saying.
