Farmers' Delhi Chalo March: The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political), the two umbrella farmers groups that are spearheading the farmer's agitation, gave a call to farmers from across the country to reach Delhi on Wednesday, March 6.
"Tomorrow, on March 6, farmers from all over India will march peacefully towards Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Farmers from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar have made all preparations to move to Delhi for the march," said one of the farmer leaders Tejveer Singh while addressing reporters on the Shambhu border.

Amid the apprehension of stand-offs, Delhi police have amped up the vigil at the Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur borders, and railway and metro stations and bus stands.

"We had temporally removed barriers for commuters at the Singhu and the Tikri borders. The deployment of police and paramilitary personnel is still there and (they) will ensure strict, round-the-clock vigil," a senior police officer said.
Additional parties of police and paramilitary forces have already been deployed at the railway and metro stations, added the police office.
"No one will be allowed to breach the law," the officer said.
The police have also warned of potential traffic congestion in various parts of the city due to intensified checking at different checkposts.
On March 3, farmer leaders Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal urged farmers nationwide to reach Delhi on Wednesday for the protest. Additionally, they announced a four-hour countrywide rail blockade on March 10 to support various demands, including a legal assurance for the minimum support price for crops.
He said that the sacrifices of the farmers won't be futile, and the ongoing struggle will persist until their demands are addressed. The protesting farmers have maintained their presence at the Shambhu and Khanauri border points, situated between Punjab and Haryana, following the interruption of their "Delhi Chalo" march by security forces.
