Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has responded to allegations surrounding the tragic stampede incident in Hyderabad, where a woman lost her life. The actor, visibly distressed, addressed the media to express his stance and counter what he described as 'humiliating' claims.
Speaking at the press conference, Allu Arjun stated, “A lot of misinformation is going around. I am not trying to blame anyone, any department, or political leader. It is humiliating and feels like character assassination. Please don’t judge me.”
The superstar emphasised his regret over the incident, expressing his heartfelt condolences and remaining 'apologetic for what happened'. While he refrained from assigning blame, he urged people to avoid jumping to conclusions or believing unverified information about his involvement.
Arjun further defended himself against claims by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that he attended the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre on December 4 without police permission and stayed despite a woman's death during a stampede. Arjun stated he had obtained permission from the theatre management and complied with police instructions, emphasising, "I am a law-abiding citizen. I would have left if I were told there was no permission."

‘Miscommunication, Misinformation, Wrong Allegations’
Allu Arjun addressed allegations regarding his attendance at the Pushpa 2 premiere, expressing humiliation over 'miscommunication, misinformation, and wrong allegations'. He stated, "I have earned respect and credibility over 20 years, and it feels sabotaged in one day." Arjun clarified that his visit to the theatre was not a roadshow or procession but a customary gesture to greet fans. He emphasised his respect for the law, explaining, "Once fans see you, they cool off and disperse. The car moved in, and I entered the theatre with proper clearance."
“I am getting hourly updates about how the kid is doing. He is progressing. The only good thing is that the boy is getting better. My whole attempt is to produce the audience good entertainment and want people to leave with a smile,” he added.
