Mumbai News: The first photo of Tahawwur Rana, the alleged mastermind behind the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, surfaced on Thursday evening as he was brought to Delhi under tight security. The aircraft touched down at Indira Gandhi International Airport around 6:45 PM, with Rana remaining under strict security measures during his transfer.

Upon landing, the special plane was directed to a designated area in the airport's technical zone, away from other aircraft. Approximately ten minutes after the plane parked, security personnel entered the aircraft to escort Rana out.

To ensure his safety and privacy, Rana was taken through the cargo terminal rather than the main passenger areas. He was swiftly moved to a secure building within the technical area, where necessary paperwork was completed before he was brought out again. Given the high-profile nature of the arrival and the presence of media, authorities chose the cargo terminal to avoid crowds.

While the arrival of Rana was anticipated, the exact timing and location remained confidential, even from local police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials. Despite the lack of specific information, security measures were heightened across the airport. Inspector-level officers and additional police personnel were deployed at all three terminals throughout the day to maintain vigilance.

CISF agents were also on alert, aware that a significant event was taking place. Media representatives were present at all terminals, with many gathered outside the technical area, eager to report on the unfolding situation.

Following his arrival, Rana was taken to court for further legal proceedings, marking a significant moment in the ongoing fight against terrorism in India.
