Anmol Bishnoi's Deportation: Ahead of Anmol Bishnoi's arrival in New Delhi on Wednesday, his cousin, Ramesh Bishnoi, urged the Central government to ensure the safety of the gangster. Anmol is about to arrive at the New Delhi airport after being extradited from the United States.
Anmol is only being punished for being the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, said Ramesh, adding that he has faith in the investigative agencies. The family's main priority is to ensure the safety of their relative, he asserted.
"The law will take its course. Our family respects the law and we are law-abiding people, but today our main concern is that if he (Anmol Bishnoi) is being brought to India, the Indian government should ensure his safety. This will be our demand," Ramesh said, while speaking to the news agency, ANI.
Anmol Bishnoi Will Be Proven Innocent: Family
Stressing that his cousin is innocent, Ramesh said the truth will come out and Anmol will be proven innocent. "We have always respected the law and will continue to do so... He (Anmol Bishnoi) is being punished only for being Lawrence Bishnoi's younger brother. The investigation will reveal everything," he added.
Anmol Bishnoi To Be Arrested By Probe Agency
Meanwhile, Gangster Anmol, a key accused in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique, is about to land in New Delhi. He is also wanted accused in the case related to a firing on Bollywood star Salman Khan's residence in April 2024.
The Mumbai police had sent two proposals about his extradition, the official said, adding that there are multiple cases registered against the gangster across the country, and the Union government will decide to which agency his custody should be given first.
This was a multi-agency operation and after being brought to India, the Mumbai police will also seek his custody in their cases, the official said .Earlier this month, investigating agencies had got information that Bishnoi, who kept moving between the United States and Canada, had been detained in Canada.
