Ghaziabad Rain: Heavy rainfall in Ghaziabad's Loni area near the Delhi-UP border triggered severe waterlogging, turning several roads into ponds and causing immense problems for commuters. A video shared on social media showed an auto-rickshaw overturning while trying to cross a waterlogged stretch in the Khanna Nagar area.
The video shared on X (formerly Twitter) shows rainwater covering the entire area, rising to tyre level. As the driver tried to navigate the deep water, the auto-rickshaw lost balance and overturned on the road with passengers still inside.
The passengers, including men, women, and elderly individuals, were trapped inside the vehicle. Nearby bystanders immediately rushed to the spot, reassuring the distressed commuters as they pulled everyone out one by one.

“Is this for real? If true, then the state of cities is pathetic," remarked one user.

Another user wrote, "Overloaded single-engine auto-rickshaw, transiting roads made on a build-do-not-operate & Transfer-to-Fools basis. Governments forget infra once the project is over. There’s no management post-construction. No point building world-class infra if we can’t handle such basic issues."
Expressing frustration over public safety, a third user added, "Citizens are treated as insects by the government. Such a pathetic condition of the roads, and the safety of people is compromised. But singing the entire Vande Mataram is the burning topic for the government and media."
