Suchana Seth, the Mindful AI labs CEO, accused of killing her four-year-old son, is believed to have smothered him to death, as revealed by a senior doctor’s postmortem report. According to Dr Kumar Naik, the administrative officer of Hiriyur Taluk Hospital, the young boy was reportedly smothered to death.
Following the postmortem, the body of a four-year-old son was handed over to the accused’s estranged husband. The child’s body was brought to Bengaluru to his father's apartment in the Rajajinagar area.
Suchana Seth was arrested from Karnataka’s Chitradurga on Monday night for allegedly killing her four-year-old son at a service apartment in Goa during a vacation last week.

The 39-year-old CEO was travelling from Goa to Bengaluru carrying the boy’s body which was recovered in a suitcase and was arrested on directions of the Goa Police. She was sent to police custody for six days on Tuesday in connection with the matter.

- According to Dr Kumar Naik, the child was strangled to death either by using a cloth or a pillow. He said that the child died due to strangulation. “It doesn't look like the child was strangulated using hands. It looks like a pillow or some other material was used. The Rigor mortis had resolved in the child," he said.
- “Usually in India, rigor mortis resolves after 36 hours but in this child's case, there was no rigor mortis (stiffening of the body muscles due to chemical changes in their myofibrils). So, it has been more than 36 hours since his death," Dr Naik was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
- However, Naik stated that they could not say the exact time but it had been 36 hours since the child’s death.
- Meanwhile, a senior police official involved in the investigation stated that the child was smothered to death ‘possibly using a pillow from the service apartment’, as reported by the Indian Express.
- According to a report by India Today quoting Goa DGP Jashpal Singh, a local court granted the father permission to meet his son on Sundays, however, Suchana did not want her divorced husband to meet their son.
- Seth, who is accused of killing her son, reportedly filed a domestic violence case against her husband Venkata Raman. However, the latter denied the allegations in court, as reported by Indian Expres.
- After receiving the information about his child’s murder, Seth's estranged husband Venkat Raman returned to India from Jakarta on Tuesday evening.
- He arrived in Karnataka’s Chitradurga and also gave his consent to the local authorities to conduct a postmortem on his son’s body, police said.
