Gujarat Weather:  Gujarat saw intense rains on Monday. According to news agency PTI, throughout the course of a 12-hour period that ended at 6 PM, Kalyanpur taluka in the Devbhumi Dwarka district received 174 millimetres of rain.

A "red alert" has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for multiple districts in the state through Tuesday, June 2. The meteorological service has forecast very intense showers in the districts of Surat, Navsari, and Valsad in south Gujarat, as well as in Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Dwarka, and Kutch in the Saurashtra-Kutch region.

Additionally, it stated that until July 3, heavy to extremely heavy rain is expected in several of the state's regions.

"On July 2, parts of south Gujarat and Saurashtra may receive very heavy rains at isolated places, while heavy rain would lash several parts of north Gujarat, central Gujarat and Saurashtra region. On July 3, very heavy rains would occur in Surat, Navsari, Valsad and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli," the IMD said in a release.

According to IMD, two cyclonic circulations over the state's north and south are responsible for the current wet weather.

Meanwhile, two National Highways of Junagadh have been closed following heavy rain in parts of Gujarat.

Delhi Weather

In Delhi, the IMD has issued a "orange" signal for July 2–3. The next seven days are expected to be gloomy, with Tuesday and Wednesday seeing moderate to heavy rain.
